Dr. Maria Tsoukas is Professor and the Orville J. Stone Head of the Dermatology Department at UI Health. As double board-certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, she specializes in diagnosis, medical and surgical management of skin cancer, dermatologic oncology, high-risk skin cancer in chronic immunosuppression, and skin care for the cancer patient. She is also an expert in minimally invasive techniques for management and prevention of field cancerization (e.g., photodynamic therapy), as well as laser skin surgery for photodamage and rejuvenation. Dr. Tsoukas is actively involved in medical education, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows worldwide.
